Denis Villeneuve has been announced as the new James Bond director, as confirmed by Amazon MGM Studios.
Villeneuve is known for his work directing the Dune films as well as Blade Runner 2049.
Much speculation has been surrounding the franchise after Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson stepped in February.
Villeneuve will also be executive producer on the new film.
Despite rumours, Amazon refrained from giving any hints on who might be the next James Bond.
