The death toll in the Texas floods has continued to rise to 51 people, including 15 children as searches continue for the missing.
Heavy rain hit on Friday when flash floods reportedly brought four months worth of rain in just a few hours as per Fox News.
This heavy rainfall caused the nearby Guadalupe River to swell massively, rising by around eight metres in less than an hour on Friday.
On the banks of the river lay an all-girls Christian summer camp at a location called Camp Mystic where many of the victims have come from.
Meanwhile, 27 of these girls remain missing with many of them "under the age of 12" as per Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick speaking to the BBC.
There were around 750 people at Camp Mystic when the flood hit.
Pictures from the camp show rooms strewn with mud and water, with blankets, mattresses, teddy bears and other belongings covered in mud.
Weather forecasters have since warned that central Texas may see more flooding this weekend as up to 12cm of rain was forecast for yesterday.
About 850 people have been rescued so far.
The worst affected area is Kerr County where 43 people have died.
Larry Leitha, the sheriff of Kerr County promised that "the work continues, and will continue, until everyone is found."
Officials say It remains a search and rescue mission, not a recovery effort.
