Daily Mail commenter doesn’t get the hype around British astronaut Tim Peake

Simon Lloyd

Briton Tim Peake has blasted off in a rocket from Kazakhstan bound for the International Space Station.

The former Army pilot will become the first British astronaut on the station and will spend six months on board, orbiting the Earth.

It’s truly an historic day and the significance of it wasn’t lost on many – apart from this man…

Commenting on a Daily Mail story about Peake’s mission in space, a man going by the name of ‘Dave Peters’ clearly doesn’t see what all the fuss is about.

‘So an astronaut is about to go into space and do his job. I’m a postman and I’m about to go and deliver letters. Why isn’t that front page news then?’ he writes.

Let’s be fair to Dave, being a postman at this time of year is far from easy, but we’re not sure it’s deserving of a spot on the front of any papers just yet.
