Could Siri-controlled TV be just around the corner?

Simon Lloyd

Apple’s latest plans to for your living room are very interesting.

The revamped version of the Apple TV will reportedly feature Siri and iOS 9 – according to a report from 9to5Mac.

The new design will be launched alongside the new iPhone in September and will be slightly different in its appearance when compared to its predecessor. The sleek new design will be slimmer in height but also wider and will come with a new touchpad-equipped remote.

A faster performance can be expected from the new model with more internal storage space available to download apps and media.

Perhaps the most exciting aspect of the new Apple TV will be the inclusion of Siri. Searching and playing of content can be done through voice control – just as is the case with a regular iPhone.

Whether the report is entirely correct remains to be seen. But with weeks to go, there’s not long before we get a chance to see for ourselves.
