We love The Thick Of It here at JOE. But sometimes it's hard to separate fact from fiction as real-life politics descends into ridiculous farce.

Take the slapstick scenes at Jeremy Corbyn's latest leadership rally in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The Labour MP is riding a wave of grassroots support and hoping to prove victorious in his efforts to lead the party. Perhaps that's why the Conservatives sent their press officer Mike Watkinson to undertake a covert recon mission at the rally on Tuesday.
