Confirmation that one woman has died in Westminster Bridge incident

A member of medical staff at St Thomas' Hospital has confirmed the sad news.

It has been confirmed that at least one woman has died as a result of a vehicle colliding with a number of pedestrians on a pavement section of Westminster Bridge. The same source - described as a junior doctor at St Thomas' Hospital - has confirmed that a number of other individuals have been "hurt", with some "catastrophic" injuries. Westminster remains on lockdown after what is being classed "terror attack" by the authorities until further information is ascertained.
