Pro surfer Mick Fanning had an unforeseen challenge while competing in the World Surf League's JBay Open in South Africa. The 34 year old Surfer, who is ranked the 4th best surfer in the world for 2015, had to fight off a shark while looking to catch a wave and show off his balance skills.
The surfer told Fox Sports "I was just sitting there, I was just about to start moving and then I felt something grab and get stuck in my leg rope...
"I instantly just jumped and he kept coming at my board. I was just kicking and screaming. I saw fins. I was waiting for the teeth." Mick was rescued by a support boat and the event was cancelled for the rest of the day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrt27dZ7DOA
