Chelsea are in talks over the signing of world-class Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, as per a breaking David Ornstein update.
Addressing his huge amount of followers on X, the transfer guru made clear that the Blues are holding discussions with the Italian giants.
It's understood that the deal would be a season-long loan with a buy option.
However, a valuable Chelsea star would be heading in the other direction.
Having already played in Italy at Inter Milan and Roma, Romelu Lukaku would in fact be moving to the south of Italy.
Due to return to training at Chelsea's base of Cobham this week, it is understood Lukaku will be training with the players that have not travelled to the United States for a pre-season tour, including Trevoh Chalobah.
After re-signing for the club in 2021 for a earth-shattering £97.5m fee, the Belgian international now has two years left on his contract.
Despite this, it is understood that he has reportedly agreed a three-year deal with Napoli.
The West London club are holding out for £30m to sell Lukaku, and in order for Napoli to raise transfer funds, Osimhen must be sold resultantly.
Previously, Paris Saint Germain were the frontrunners for Osimhen, but talks have now stalled.
