Jon Bon Jovi has spoken out after his son announced his engagement to Stranger Things star, Millie Bobby Brown.
Actor and model Jake Bongiovi got down on one knee last month after a whirlwind romance with the actress.
The happy couple dropped the news on social media, with Bobby Brown (19) writing: "I've loved you three summers now, honey, I want 'em all."
The couple were flooded with congratulatory messages after the announcement, with several people wishing them a lifetime of happiness.
But some critics argued Millie and Jake are too young to be getting hitched, as they are 19 and 20 years old, respectively.
One person wrote on Instagram: “Unpopular opinion but she’s way too young to be engaged. But age 19, you don’t even know who you are yet."
Another added: “Look, they seem cute, but she’s 19 right? They’re too young to be getting engaged, WTF?”
A third said: "Sorry to be a killjoy but this is not going to last, millie you grew up too fast, you deserve a normal and fun adolescence. You are 19."
They added that the two have only been dating for less than two years and should've waited a little longer.
However, it seems like the happy couple has been given the big tick of approval from Jake's rockstar dad.
He was asked about the topic when speaking on Andy Cohen Live and said: "I don’t know if age matters if you find the right partner and you grow together.
"That would be my advice: Growing together is wise. So, I think all my kids have found people that they think they can grow together with, and we like them all."
Jon added: "Millie’s wonderful. Her whole family are great. Jake is very, very happy.”
Another person posted on Insta: "My mom got married a week before her 19th birthday, everyone said her marriage would never work because of her age, but my parents still have the most beautiful lovely marriage I’ve ever seen!"
Take that, haters.
