Body found in the search for missing toddler, police confirm

Police confirmed the body of a child has been found

Yesterday, Suffolk Police launched an emergency search operation for three-year-old Noah, who went missing from a playground in Merriam Close, Brantham, around 15:00 BST on Tuesday.

The toddler was last seen running towards a nearby new build estate wearing a white Bluey t-shirt and black Vans with a white stripe. 

He was said to have become separated from a relative as they left the area after reportedly running off down an alleyway and out of sight.

Now, police have said that dive teams recovered the body of a child from Decoy Pond in Suffolk.

At a press conference this evening, Supt Pearse said a body believed to be that of Noah had been found.

He said it was being treated as not suspicious but unexplained.

Emergency services have carried out door-to-door operations, while hundreds of volunteers had gone in search of the missing child.

Noah, 3, is reportedly partially deaf and non-verbal.

Local police ran search operations throughout all of last night looking for the missing toddler.

Aid helicopters and drones were also been deployed as far as the Essex border.

Brantham Parish Police posted on Facebook: "We have been completely overwhelmed by the support received from the Brantham community and from visitors from far and wide."
