Homenews

As we have seen over the course of recent months, the BBC have some weird priorities.

For every time they get it right, like this glorious bit of TV on Pointless or the airtime given to Eric Monkman, there are moments like this bizarre display of over-remembrance and the time one Apprentice contestant may or may not have completely fucked it. But never has a BBC presenter been involved in a piece of FAKE NEWS™ as terrifying as this. During a Radio 4 spot this morning, Nick Robinson committed the unforgivable sin of claiming Santa Claus isn't real, and was rightly called out on his lies. https://twitter.com/steveclapham/status/832147534802014208 https://twitter.com/MayaPassmore/status/832205865650356225 https://twitter.com/TreasuryMog/status/832141430302842880 https://twitter.com/IanLabour/status/832137743492927488 https://twitter.com/GillianPillans/status/832137369222512642 Mistakes happen, though, and Robinson - the seasoned pro that he is - was quick to set the record straight. The only question concerns whether he left it too late. https://twitter.com/bbcnickrobinson/status/832140992862154753 It feels like he got away with it, though. https://twitter.com/JimConnolly/status/832141848986648576 https://twitter.com/sabaone/status/832146723757838337 https://twitter.com/Chrisdobson59/status/832154655329284096
