‘Maybe I need more hell’

Andrew Tate has tweeted a message to fans an hour before he is due to appear in court on human trafficking charges.

The 36-year-old was released from prison and placed under house arrest earlier this month after more than three months behind pars in Romania following his arrest in December.

The kickboxer-turned-influencer was set to remain in custody until April 29 after the court extended the group’s incarceration by another 30 days, but after appealing that decision to the Court of Appeal in Bucharest, the group were released and put under house arrest.

In a tweet on Friday morning (April 21), Tate wrote: “Court in an hour. I trust god because he knows best. Maybe I need more hell. Send me to jail.”

Tate and his brother Tristan were arrested in on December 29 on suspicion of alleged human trafficking and forming an organised crime group.

The brothers deny all of the allegations against them.

In a statement following his release from prison earlier this month, Tate said: “The judges who heard us today, they were very attentive, they listened to us and they let us know, so I have absolute respect for them.

“I have no resentment in my heart for the country of Romania over anybody else, I just believe in the truth. I believe in god and I think that the fire of the truth will destroy all lies and anybody who lies over a long enough time frame will feel regret. I truly believe that justice will be served in the end, there is zero per cent chance of me being found guilty of something I have not done.”

Tate, a former kickboxer, rose to fame in 2016 when he was removed from British TV show Big Brother over a video which appeared to show him attacking a woman.

The 35-year-old has gained notoriety this year because of his inflammatory and misogynistic views on women.

This includes videos where he has said that women should “shut the f**k up, have kids, sit at home, be quiet and make coffee,” that women are men’s “property” and that “18-year-old women are “more attractive than 25-year-olds because they’ve been through less d***.”

He has even gone as far to say that rape victims should “bear responsibility” for their attacks.
