Amber Heard: '"I survived. I survived that man and I’m here'

‘He knows he’s guilty, he knows he’s a liar’

Amber Heard has explained why she believes that Johnny Depp won’t look at her during their million-dollar defamation trial in Fairfax, Virginia.

As Johnny Depp’s $50M lawsuit against Amber Heard continues alongside her counter-lawsuit of $100m, more startling revelations have been made about their relationship. According to the 36-year-old actress, Depp won’t look at her during the trial because he “knows he’s guilty” and she “survived” him.

“knows he’s guilty,” the Aquaman star said. “I survived. I survived that man and I’m here and I’m able to look at him.”

She added: “He knows he’s guilty, he knows he’s a liar. Otherwise why couldn’t he look at me. I survived that man and I’m here.”

Earlier this week, Depp’s attorney Camille Vasquez quizzed Heard on why Depp refuses to look at her.

“Mr Depp hasn’t looked at you once in this entire trial, has he?” She questioned during cross-examination, to which Heard replied, “Not that I’ve noticed, no.”

After saying Heard had looked at her ex-husband “many times”, Vasquez added: “He promised you would never see his eyes again, isn’t that true.”

An audio recording was submitted to evidence that was taken in a San Francisco hotel room in 2016 after Heard filed for divorce and issued a restraining order against Depp.

“Please I just want to hug you and say bye,” she can be heard saying.

Deep replied: “‘I am nothing to you, and I will always be nothing to you. You will not see my eyes again.”
