Teenagers could be banned from the internet if new EU data protection laws are approved.

Final discussions are taking place this week with EU lawmakers that could see parents having to approve their children’s use of social media and chat apps. The Financial Times report that under the proposed rules, teenagers aged 15 and under would have to get permission to use social media across the board, so Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and even Whatsapp could be off limits. snapchat_uhoh Tech giants are rallying round in a bid to kibosh the amendment. Just imagine the carnage, an uprising from teens everywhere.
