If the last 13 months have taught us anything, it's that we're not allowed nice things.

But just when you thought it couldn't get worse, we've been delivered an almost-literal punch in the gut. Sure, the Leader of the Free World is one of the worst people alive, Bake Off has left the BBC and Harambe has died, but at least we still had our Boots £1 meal deal on a Monday. Not any more though. It's been snatched away from us, just like everything else that gave us hope since the start of 2016.

The deal, which has been available for anyone on the O2 mobile network since the summer of 2015, was extended from its initial six-month trial run due to its popularity. And who wouldn't want a Boots meal deal for just a quid, less than one third of its regular price. But all good things come to an end, and next Monday will be the deal's swansong. Other O2 £1 lunch deals will still be available elsewhere, but we can empathise with the dramatic reaction to the end of a Monday staple for so many people. https://twitter.com/miggysworld/status/831118613977391105 https://twitter.com/hisroyalginger/status/831124019738996736 https://twitter.com/RobynMayday/status/831124974597468161 https://twitter.com/PavelKondov/status/831113215887163393 https://twitter.com/gemmartin_tmb/status/831096469675503616 It's a sad day for all concerned.
