Couple who think they might be siblings suggest they will continue to date

They have already been dating for two years

A TikTok couple who might be siblings and have been together for two years have suggested they will continue to date each other even though they might be half-sisters. Carley and Mercedes, who have a large social media following on both TikTok and OnlyFans, have been making content together for a couple of years but one recent video sent their audience and much of the internet into furious debate after they discovered they could very well be related.

Regardless of how far removed the relation is, most people would run a mile from the notion of being romantic with a sibling or relative - the stigma around second and third cousins being a fairly common one - but the couple with 560,000 followers, for now, seem to be committed to staying together regardless. In the comments below a previous video announcing the initial revelation that both their mums slept with the same man, they posed the question: 'if we’re actually related is it wrong to stay together?" While many were quick to answer "yes", "gross" and "Are you serious? Are you trying to justify INCEST?", others have defended the pair, insisting that they were unaware of the connection when they first started dating and that "the only problem is society". Carley and Mercedes confirmed that they have sent off for a DNA test which will take a few weeks and pondered whether kissing each other in the lead-up to taking the test would affect the results.

Many of their followers have also noted that the two do bear quite a strong resemblance, with one saying "you look almost identical" while another said, "ya'll are literally twins".
