Some people reckon the child asked for a CR7 cut but was given the wrong one
A seething mum uploaded pictures of her 13-year-old son’s haircut on social media after a barber decided to give him the Brazilian Ronaldo haircut.
The fuming parent from Morley, West Yorkshire, took to Facebook to share her vexation after her son returned from the hairdresser looking like he’d just played in the 2002 World Cup finals.
Sharing a picture of her son’s new trim, she wrote: “To the barber who did this to my unaccompanied 13yr old may I suggest you do not give stupid hair cuts to minors without an adult present. This is ridiculous [sic].”
Twitter user @jshbckhs shared a screenshot of the post, much to the hilarity of other users on the platform.
Some Twitter users reckoned the child asked for a Ronaldo cut, but was given the wrong one.
Twitter user @itsDaibhi said: “When your kid asks for a Ronaldo haircut but doesn’t specify which Ronaldo…”
Another Twitter – @shutter_lux – agreed saying: “Obviously asked for a Ronaldo cut and got an R9 cut, not a CR7 cut.”
Ronaldo recently revealed that he had good reason for sporting the bizarre trim at the World Cup in South Korea/Japan.
Speaking to ESPN Brazil, he said distraction was his main goal ahead of the tournament.
He was harbouring a knock going into the World Cup and to draw the focus away from the worrying injury, he got out his razor.
“My groin was hurting. I was only at 60 per cent. So I shaved my head.”
“Everybody was only talking about my injury. When I arrived in training with this haircut everybody stopped talking about the injury.”
Genius!
