Police had to intervene when a riot broke out in a shop that was selling discounted jars of Nutella.

We're all fans of the chocolate spread, but it's hard to imagine having a fight over it. But, it seems it all became too much for some shoppers who got overly competitive when the jars were reduced from €4.50 to €1.40 in an Intermarché store in France. One person, who was present, told French media, "They are like animals. A woman had her hair pulled, an elderly lady took a box on her head, another had a bloody hand."
