Avocado was, for a long time, the default 'hip' food.
Hipsters loved it, but like all things hipsters love, they eventually tired of it and move on to the next obscure and/or pointless thing to obsess over.
Avocados haven't quite been abandoned, but they've sufficiently penetrated the mainstream enough for hipsters to call time on the green mushy fruit. But there's one last desperate breath left in the avocado, one final scratch at the cliff face before it tumbles into the Sea of 'No Thanks'.
This is hard to watch, but watch you must, as a health food blog attempts to create an avocado mac and cheese. Steady yourself.

You will notice, after you've regained consciousness, that this dish is mainly avocado and minimally cheese. The macaroni is there for all to see, but we're not worried about that. There's about ten tons of avocado blended up and added to this dish, and that just ain't right.
