Walkers launch brand new Smokin’ BBQ Sauce flavoured crisps

We can't wait to try this!

The crisp giant has already released several new products in 2024. In February it added two new flavours to its Sensations range – Mature Cheddar & Chilli Chutney and Crushed Sea Salt & Black Peppercorn.

A few weeks later shoppers spotted the brand new Extra Flamin Hot Crunchy Wotsits in UK supermarkets.

In July, Walkers launched a new range of Wotsits and Monster Munch crisps which were made with chickpeas and at the beginning of August they teamed up with Heinz to release a sandwich-inspired crisp range featuring three new flavours.

Now, Walkers have released a brand new flavour of crisp – Smokin’ BBQ Sauce – to join its core range.

Stephanie Herbert, Marketing Senior Brand Manager from Walkers said: “For years Walkers fans have been calling out for a BBQ flavour to join our core range.

"We’ve heard those calls loud & clear so we can’t wait for crisp lovers nationwide to try out the brand-new Walkers Smokin’ BBQ Sauce flavour!”

It is said that the new flavour will give fans a ‘brand new taste sensation’.

A walkers spokesperson said: “Not only that, it lets Brits enjoy the perfect BBQ without fail, no matter the weather.”

Fans have flocked to social media to share their thoughts. One fan spotted the crips in Tesco and posted on a Facebook page which sent fans crazy.

One person commented: “I NEEEEEEED THESE.”

While another replied: “I don’t believe this is real?!”

The new flavour is available now across the UK in single packs, multipacks and grab bags.
