You spoke, they listened

The rumours are true

After much speculation on social media, KFC have confirmed that the Double Down will be making a return to the restaurant’s menu.

The ‘bunless burger of dreams’ was first launched in October 2017 and went down a treat with customers, who have been demanding its return ever since its trial period came to a close.

Despite its immense popularity, it is only returning for a limited time period. From July 2nd, the Double Down will be available in the UK and Ireland for three weeks only.

A website has been launched that displays a countdown to the time when the Double Down will no longer be served. So, if you struggle with basic addition, you can visit CanIGetADoubleDown.com to check whether you can still get one.

A KFC spokesperson commented: “You spoke, and we listened. We were inundated with thousands of tweets demanding the Double Down return to the UK, so there was only one thing we could do. For just 21 days, we’re bringing it back to restaurants across the UK and Ireland, inviting Double Down fans old and new to revel in its legendary breadless glory.”

The ‘burger’ will set you back £4.79 – or £5.79 with fries and a drink.
