Oreo breakfast cereal is now a real thing that is available in the UK

JOE

Oreo’s are great. Breakfast cereal is great. Putting them both together should be even better, right?

You might very well have seen Oreo O’s when visiting America or other countries (remember when international travel was a thing? Seems so long ago, doesn’t it?), but the cereal is now being launched across the UK.

You could usually get it in the UK online, or in one of those shops that import lots of strange and fascinating American candies, but it would normally cost about £10 a box, and that is a lot for breakfast cereal, no matter how good it tasted.

But now you can get it from your local supermarket. It is now on the shelves at Asda, Morrisons and Dunne’s, and with it also set to be available in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Booths, amongst others, in 2021.

It will set you back £3.99 for a 350g, and is somewhat disturbingly labeled as an “adult cereal”.

The official product description reads:

“Who says breakfasts have to be the same every day? Move aside dry toast and make room for the debut of Oreo O’s, the brand-new adult cereal from Oreo’s launching in the UK this month.

With all the iconic features of the classic Oreo, if you’re looking to treat yourself occasionally at breakfast time or for a tasty snack during the day, then this is the cereal for you. With crunchy cocoa ‘O’s and vanilla flavour discs, Oreo O’s are inspired by all the characteristics that Oreos are best known for. So, if you’re an Oreo fan, then it’s safe to say this cereal is going to be just up your street.

To enjoy a bowlful of delight, simply pick your bowl and then pour your choice of cold milk over the Oreo O’s, or why not try with a spoonful of yogurt and fresh berries.”
