Nando’s new burger looks damn good, but they’ve axed a menu classic

Introducing the Sunset Burger.

Cheeky Nando’s, anyone?

From next Tuesday (October 18th), Nando’s will be showing off a brand new menu item.

Introducing: the Sunset Burger.

Nandos-Sunset-Burger

Boasting two flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken thighs (boneless, of course), melted cheese, spinach, and smokey red pepper jam, the Sunset Burger comes sandwiched in between a sweet Bolo do Caco bun, which apparently tastes a bit like ciabatta.

The new choices all got shown off in a fun little launch party for Nando’s on Thursday night. PERi-PERi fans headed to the streets of London, Brighton, Birmingham, Manchester and Dublin to try out the new grub, and it seems like the burger is an instant hit.

The new Sunset Burger comes as part of a winter shake-up for the new Nando’s menu.

So its in with the sweet Sunset and out with… the Churrasco thigh burger.

Ouch.

The new Nando’s winter menu will see salads get a fresh spin, as Nando’s will now allow customers to order chicken thighs or houmous on top of any salad of their choice, perfect for those wanting a slightly healthier option.

There’s also a brand new white wine, the Spier Chenin Blanc, joining the drinks menu.

The new choices launch on Tuesday 18th October. We’ll take our Sunset Burger extra spicy, thank you very much.
