M&S launch mince pies filled with Belgian chocolate brownie

They look like a great alternative

The crisp, brown butter pastry pies are filled with a rich Belgian chocolate brownie filling.

The sweet treat which is suitable for vegetarians has been released in the run up to Christmas and a pack of four costs shoppers £3.

They are said to be a delicious alternative for those who don’t like the traditional mince pies and people are delighted with the idea.

One customer wrote: “Now these are Christmas pies I would eat!”

Another wrote: “Maybe Santa would like these this year instead.”

A third commented: “Oh my goodnessss I would like to eat 100 of these!”

Over the last few weeks, M&S Food has released a series of festive products, getting their customers into the Christmas spirit nice and early.

Savoury snacks include Santa’s Hat Cheddar Cheese, Cranberry Topped Pork Pie and Penguin & Polar Bear Steamed Bao Buns.

Sweet treats include their classic All Butter Mince Pies, Raspberry and Pistachio Roulade and a festive version of their famous Percy Pig sweets.

It comes after M&S recently launched a new Molten Cookie Dough desert.

The supermarket chain teamed up with British chef Tom Kerridge to launch a series of new dishes from his Gastropub range which hit M&S and Ocado shelves on September 24.

There are eight new Tom Kerridge x Gastropub lines to try, including starters, mains and desserts.

Included in the range is a creamy pork and bacon pâté, deep and generously filled all-butter pastry pies, British beef cheeks and a treacle tart.

However, the dish that customers are going wild for is a gooey bake-at-home molten cookie dough.

M&S’ Dine In Deal allows customers to enjoy any of the Gastropub dishes, a starter, main, a side and dessert for two people for only £15.
