It’s been a long time coming!
We all have our own personal favourite fizzy drinks, but can you imagine if your favourite disappeared for the best part of two decades?
Well, it’s a good time to be a Coca-Cola fan, as people are over the moon after the return of an iconic flavour that was discontinued 17 years ago.
NewFoodUK shared the news of the beloved beverage’s comeback on their Instagram page.
“Lime Coca-Cola is back!! Spotted today at Farmfoods,” they wrote online.
Fans of Coca-Cola may think that the flavour sounds familiar, and not just because it was discontinued all those years ago.
There is in fact a lime version of Diet Coke that was launched back in 2020 and is still available, but this is the first time shoppers have been able to get their hands on the ‘full-fat’ version since it was axed 17 years ago.
Fans took to social media to share their delight at the flavour’s return.
“First Coca-Cola Lemon came back, and now Coca-Cola Lime. 2024 is such a good year. Only way 2025 can beat it is if Coca-Cola Orange is resurrected,” one person wrote.
A second penned: “So glad they did this as a full sugar version.”
Another noted that they “needed” to try the flavour.
