Creme Eggs are only 20p at Tesco this week as part of a bargain deal

This is the true meaning of Easter

The period of lent typically stipulates the extradition of sugary treats from your diet between Shrove Tuesday – pancake day to you and me – and Easter Sunday. However, there is a bargain offer on Creme Eggs that may just be too good to turn down.

Tesco have knocked the price down on boxes of the gooey snacks from £1.65 for a pack of five to just £1, which means you can scoop ten eggs for just £2, or 20p a pop.

That includes both the Cadbury Caramel and Oreo variety of Creme Eggs, as well as the traditional yolk esque fondant filled version. Although the offer is not available online, which instead has a cut-price three for £1 sale on for individual eggs.

Time is limited on making the most of Tesco’s generosity, however. Eager shoppers will have to crack on as the deal only runs until next Tuesday, 19 March, to crack on.

In other chocolate news, McDonald’s are bringing back the Creme Egg and Cadbury Dairy Milk McFlurry, from 20 March. The limited edition flavours come to accompany the return of the fast food outlet’s Monopoly game at the end of the month, famous for putting some mega prizes on offer.
