Birds Eye have launched sweet potato waffles and we can’t wait to try them

We can safely say that every single child in Ireland grew up having Birds Eye waffles for literally every single meal. We mean that. They went with everything. And even now as adults, they make for the perfect hangover food. So you can imagine that we're pretty damn excited to hear about Birds Eye's latest endeavour. Birds Eye are redesigning the potato waffle. And we know we can hear you thinking to yourself: "But how could they improve something that is already so perfect?" Three words: Sweet potato waffles. Yep. This heavenly snack will be available in Tesco from 12 November. We're literally counting down the days. Sweet potato fries have become extremely popular as of late, acting as a somewhat healthier version of regular chips. Birds Eye's managing manager Pete Johnson had this to say about this extremely important news, saying: "We’ve seen a tremendous rise in the popularity of sweet potato, so we decided to give our classic Birds Eye Potato Waffles a modern makeover. "We combine the much-loved shape of our classic potato waffles with a delicious new recipe. We’re confident that they will become a new family favourite." Thank you Pete, and thank you Birds Eye.
