You’re far more likely to be overweight if you live in these areas

There's one huge determining factor in your weight...

An online Pharmacy – AllCures.com – has completed an investigation into whether where you live has an effect on your weight. It’s bad news if you live in Glasgow.

London’s Richmond-upon-Thames, a place well-known for being posher than a £7 M&S lunchtime meal deal, was voted healthiest region in the nation. Showing that, rather than geography being the determining factor, it’s all about the wealth of the region you live in.

Meanwhile, Scotland’s Western Isles were by far the area where locals were most likely to be overweight, with obesity rates on some islands like Orkney a close second. Obesity rates in some Scottish ares are as high as 44%.

24.8 per cent of the population is considered to be obese, the definition of obese in this context is people with a BMI of 30 or greater and a dangerous level of cholesterol.

This figure is an increase of 23% in less than ten years, Britain is ballooning in size, and, sadly for those struggling to make ends meet, it’s our finances that are the determining factor in our health.
