Interestingly, 33% of people blame their unhealthy eating habits on not having enough time to prepare meals due to work. Whereas 18.3% of people blame their home environment and 15.5% blame a bad influence from work colleagues (we're looking at you Noz who brings ice cream and treats into the office).
It also revealed that more than a third of men said work commitments demotivate them the most when it comes to exercise.
Stats don't lie - and these statistics showed that the same couldn't be said for relationships.
While gym-goers were willing to cut back on training for work, having a partner wasn't going to stop them from working out. Less than one in 10 said they wouldn't give up hitting the gym even if they were in a comfortable relationship.
There were 13% of men who didn't go to the gym because they felt intimidated by other gym users, with 25 to 34-year-olds most likely to feel awkward or uneasy.
Despite you being able to get gym memberships for less than a tenner a month in many British towns and cities, 3% of people's top excuse for not going was that it was too expensive.
That said, this is all the motivation you need to get down that gym and train harder than you've ever trained before...
Best get clanging and banging that iron soon boys.
