A guy shared a photo of his sister’s transformation after 90 days clean from crystal meth

The difference is astonishing...

We don’t have to tell you how devastating the drug crystal meth is.

From the notorious Faces of Meth campaign to the TV show Breaking Bad, the effects of highly-addictive methamphetamine use are all too apparent.

Psychosis, rhabdomyolysis, cerebral hemorrhage are just some of the things taking meth can cause.

Viral images (as below) of the physical effect of the drug are widely circulated. Users are typically gaunt, have sores on the skin and hair loss.916x678xblock1_img.png.pagespeed.ic.xD7zWeaJzq

One Reddit user, however, has a more positive image to share. User Wormguy666 shared the below image of his sister with the proud caption

“I present to you my sister. 90 Days Meth Free”.

The improvement in his sister’s physical appearance is amazing. Even after 90 days, her skin has cleared, her eyes are brighter and her hair in better condition.

She comments on the image responding to both positive and negative comments from people who doubted the authenticity of the images.

“The photos are not photoshopped. I wanted to show people the effects of what meth can do to you and hope to inspire some people who are in addiction or in the process of recovery like I am.

“No, I’m not proud of the fact I used to do meth. But from the positive comments we’ve seen, it seems like we got the message across. I didn’t even realize how disgusting I looked while I was using until after I got clean and realized how awful I looked.

“I’m 5’4 tall and was 110 lbs in the first picture and now I’m at a healthy weight of 130 and proud of it. I just remember seeing others going about their normal lives wondering if I would ever have the ability to live a serene life clean and free of meth – anyone who has been addicted knows exactly what I mean by that.

“I truly wish the best for anyone trying to beat this nasty addiction…and just know there IS a light at the end of the tunnel”.
