WATCH: The first trailer for Disney's live action The Lion King has arrived

The teaser trailer for Disney's latest live action reboot is a thing of beauty

If you're a Disney fan then this is the moment you've been waiting for.

Sharing the first teaser trailer for the live action remake of The Lion King, Disney's new movie looks incredible.

Starring Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino), Seth Rogen and Beyoncé, the trailer is narrated by James Earl Jones (as Mufasa). As the animals gather, he begins:

"Everything the light touches is our kingdom. But a king’s time as ruler rises and falls like the sun.

"One day, the sun will set on my time here, and will rise with you as the new king."

Then of course, "Circle of Life" arrives right on cue, plucking at the heartstrings and messing with our emotional state.

Looking a lot like the trailer from the 1994 original, it ends by displaying the date: July 19th 2019.

But let's be honest, after watching the teaser in full it's highly unlikely you'll be able to contain yourself and wait until next year to see the long-awaited reboot of arguably Disney's finest animated moment.

Aside from the director (Jon Favreau) and the all-star cast (that still seems like a dream), not much else is known about The Lion King remake, but that hasn't stopped fans getting excited (and emotional).
