Ouch.
Ben Shephard is a very fit man, we're all well aware of that. The Goals on Sunday and Ninja Warrior UK host keeps himself in trim and toned, and is a regular on the charity football circuit. He also prides himself on his weightlifting abilities, and that was clearly apparent when he decided to show off on live television.
And what did he use to advertise his impressive strength and lift/jerk technique? Why, co-host and great sport Susanna Reid that's who! The pair have a great rapport on screen and are always up for a laugh, but Shephard proving to Andi Peters that he could lift Reid a clear foot off the ground didn't quite go smoothly.
Strength wasn't really an issue - it was more balance. Poor Ben ended up falling backwards onto the sofa with Susanna following him soon afterwards. The fact that she fell on top of him did his strained back no good. And of course Les Dennis was there too because why not...
