Tom Cruise today confirmed that two more Mission Impossible films will be coming in the next couple of years, with the seventh and eighth instalments of the action movie series due to come out in 2020 and 2021. Before filming the two new additions to the M:I series, Cruise will return to play the role of Lt. Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick, set for release in 2020.
