The new Peaky Blinders season will feature a massive gangster turf war against the Mafia

"Nothing is safe" This is going to be epic.

In terms of promoting the new season of Peaky Blinders, it's somewhat fitting that Helen McCrory (Polly)  is more talkative than Cillian Murphy (Tommy). After all, Tommy is a man that values silence and deep thought. In recent weeks, we've heard the actress state that the show's creator, Steven Knight, has written "the strongest series since Season 1" and all the talk ahead of the Season4 premiere is how the show has returned to its roots on the streets of Birmingham. The first batch of reviews have promised a spectacular start - we won't spoil anything here - but McCrory has stated that this season is the most exciting one since the first season. "It has that real tension that the first season had, that these people are fighting for their lives. Nothing is safe in it. For the audience, there are big shocks and once those big shocks happen, you realise that the show can go anywhere." One of the most common complaints about Season3 is that the show became too concerned with glamorising and portraying the rich life. Well, McCrory has said that the new episodes will force Tommy to return to the streets of Birmingham as the Peaky Blinders face their biggest threat yet, the Mafia headed by Adrien Brody's new character. "What's clever is how do you take a group of people that are so disparate? He's already taken the family so far away, I mean, Tommy is becoming more and more successful and richer. He's going further and further away from Garrison Lane. How do you get back there? That's what the fans and actors love. It's the heart of Peaky Blinders. Basically, it's a gangster flick and gangsters are all about turf. It's a very clever way of getting them to defend their turf against the biggest other gangster group that was around."
