Props to the makeup artist who did the impossible to David Beckham

JOE

It’s still a better look than those cornrows he had.

During his career, we all became used to seeing David Beckham changing his hairstyle on a monthly basis.

It all started with the ‘curtains’ haircut when he chipped Neil Sullivan from the halfway line. What about the blond mohawk that he sported during the 2002 World Cup, the shaved head that he displayed at Filbert Street against Leicester or the cornrows. Jesus Christ, the cornrows.

Before you ask, the answer is yes. We’re very aware that it’s weird being able to remember Beckham’s various hairstyles.

While he always courted a level of fame that’s akin to a Hollywood superstar, the former LA Galaxy midfielder has already showed off his acting chops in a small number of roles.

There was that cameo in Goal II, his documentary in Brazil for the BBC and a very brief appearance in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. among many others.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan and PSG star will be appearing in Guy Ritchie’s latest film, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and it’s clear that the makeup artist is very talented at their job.

Yep, they’ve done the impossible. David Beckham is hideously ugly.
