Pete Davidson compares supporters of the Catholic Church to R. Kelly fans
Davidson said R. Kelly was a 'monster' before making the comparison
Pete Davidson appeared on CNN's Saturday Night Live with Colin Jost and Michael Che to deliver some hot takes on recent documentaries about R. Kelly and Michael Jackson.
Davidson said R. Kelly was a "monster" who should spend the rest of his life behind bars.
Kelly faces multiple sexual abuse charges but in a spate of media interviews maintains his innocence.
"If you support the Catholic Church, isn't that like the same thing as being an R. Kelly fan?" Davidson said. "I don't really see the difference, only like one's music is significantly better."
"The other day my mum said she was going to mass and I'm like, 'okay, I'm going to go and listen to the Ignition remix.'
"I'm not saying it's an easy decision, I'm just saying you don't know how good someone's music really is until you find out they're a paedophile."
