Sometimes a photoshop job is so bad you almost have to applaud it.
The airbrushing is so brazen. The light tinkering so ballsy, and the feature softening so shameless that you can’t help but laugh.
There’s tweaking a photograph, and there’s not giving a shit.
And whoever editing the photos of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid for W Magazine‘s tenth anniversary edition, truly did not give a shit.

The more you look at this photoshop job, the worse it gets.
In fact the wonderful folk at Her.ie have come with a categorised list of all of the many, many, many things wrong with this.
Why don’t they have any knees?
Who owns the hand on Gigi Hadid’s shoulder?
Where is that person’s body?
Why does the person on the ground (whom we think is Lauren Devine) have a Snapchat filter when the girls don’t?
Why does Kendall have one solid row of teeth
Who is the person at the back with their hands in the air?
Why is there a cock in the tent?
Why aren’t the beer cans open?
Are they spray tan tents?
Why is there a drone?
This is bad. It goes past the point of slightly sweetening the image of someone in a photograph and goes deep into the Uncanny Valley where no one looks like humans anymore.
So of course the internet took the piss.

Talking to BuzzFeed about the… interesting front cover, a W Magazine spokesperson said:
“The images of Kendall and Gigi are part of a project by artists Lizzie Fitch and Ryan Trecartin, who are known for their deliberate use of digital technology, combining distortions with makeup and prosthetics.”
Fair enough. Who knew that knees were overrated?
