It has been six years since his brother died
Paul Chuckle has paid tribute to his brother Barry, six years after the comedian passed away.
The siblings were best known for their long-running show ChuckleVision which had been broadcast by the BBC between 1987 to 2009.
The pair, whose real surname is Elliott also appeared together in various theatre productions.
However, in 2018 Barry passed away aged 73 after a battle with bone cancer which spread to his lungs.
This week marks six years since his death and Paul, now 76, took to social media to pay tribute to his older brother.
He posted a picture of Barry smiling alongside the caption: “Miss you Baz.”
The post received over 10,000 likes while fans commented messages of support for Paul.
One person wrote: “Thinking of you today Paul. Hope you’re ok mate. I deeply miss your brother too. Such a wonderful and extremely kind man.”
Another said: “We miss him too. What a legend!”
While a third said: “We all do [but] what better legacy to leave than a generation of smiles.”
Over the years, Paul has shared his feelings on the loss of his brother. In an interview with ITV’s This Morning last year, Paul spoke of the 55 years they had worked together.
He spoke of Barry’s ‘bubbly’ personality and said: “I’ve always felt that he’s with me all the time.”
