Kennedy added that the source said one A-lister left Harry and Meghan off the invite list for an event because of their "capacity to share". The couple made headlines around the world when that did an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and haven't stop ruffling royal feathers since.
In the Oprah interview, Meghan accused an unnamed member of the royal family of asking what colour her son Archie's skin would be before he was born. Harry is also set to release a memoir before the end of the year which he said will contain a "firsthand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful." The book is expected to further strain royal relationships.
When the Queen was placed under medical supervision shortly before her death on September 8, King Charles III was said to have told Harry not to bring his wife to Balmoral to be at her bedside. The couple's children, Archie, 3, and one-year-old Lilibet, are also not getting HRH status and will get the titles of prince and princess.
Kennedy added that another reason the Sussexes have been sidelined is that they don't have the "charisma and dedication" needed to be A-listers. She wrote: "You and your partner can buy a mansion in the right zip code, hang out with the right people and say the right things at the right charity events, but that doesn’t make you a Hollywood power couple.
"Modern-day stardom is about more than name recognition.
"It takes charisma, dedication and charm. For all their striving, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just don’t have it. "
Britain has realised this — and Hollywood is starting to realise it too."
