A major TV channel is set to return to UK screens later this month.
Sky has announced that the much-loved Sky One (channel 106) will be relaunched and back on our screens on February 24.
It will replace both Sky Showcase and Sky Max.
Having been shut down in 2021, the broadcaster has now announced that Sky One will become the home of Sky’s comedy and entertainment programmes.
New shows such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, as well as existing classics like The Paper and Ted will all be available on the channel.
Additionally, it will be home to the highly-anticipated UK version of iconic US sketch show Saturday Night Live UK, which will premier later this year.
MD of Sky TV & NOW, Carli Kerr, said the relaunched channel is hoped to be 'a one-of-a-kind destination that’s big, bold and bursting with energy'.
She further added that it will 'make it easier than ever for Sky TV customers to find and enjoy the shows they love'.
Sky One launched in 1989, and has homed an array of shows, from brand new episodes of The Simpsons to the iconic Friends reunion special.
It launches on channel 106 Tuesday, February 24.
