BBC announces official release date for Line of Duty season 5

Line of Duty will be returning for its fifth season very soon, and the BBC have now confirmed its return date: March 31. "The fans have already called it. Confirming for the record, Line of Duty Series 5 starts on Sunday 31st March on BBC One and BBC iPlayer," BBC One's official Twitter account posted on Monday evening. https://twitter.com/bbcone/status/1107718814207078400?s=12 The announcement was made with an animation of a mysterious poster, with stars Martin Compston, Adrian Dunbar and Vicky McClure linked together with handcuffs. “Crime needs an inside man,” the poster states, dropping a hint at the storyline for season 5. The drama, which follows police anti-corruption unit AC-12 is widely regarded as one of the BBC's best shows for its intricate storylines and exceptional acting.
