This comes after a crucial line Ted said in last week's episode of Line of Duty

Fans of the BBC crime drama Line of Duty are convinced that he might die in this season's final episode. The anti-corruption unit, AC-12, are inches away from finding H's true identity, with speculation suggesting that it could be  Patricia Carmichael or DI Kate Fleming. It is now a race against time for the anti-corruption team to locate "H", the leader of the OCG, as Superintendent Ted Hastings was forced to take early retirement and Steve Arnott is at risk of receiving a yellow notice for not showing up to a doctor's appointment. BBC's trailer for the final episode of the season has left fans debating over who the mysterious "H" really is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nHe3Weueog A fan theory suggests that Ted Hastings may be covering up more than his retirement from the police, after fans flagged up an intriguing line Hastings uttered in last week's show. After last Sunday's interrogation scene, in which Joanne Davidson did not give much away, Ted says to Steve as he walks out of the room: "Sometimes you don't lose, son. You just run out of time." https://twitter.com/Line_of_duty/status/1386422231396274183 The Superintendent could well be referring to his retirement, however some fans believe that the line pre-empts Ted Hasting's death. On Twitter, one fan said: "Please, please don't let Ted die/ leave the force in episode 7." https://twitter.com/SCook_TV/status/1386441274920620033 Another said: "I don't think he's dead they never showed the body." Fans will have to wait another few days to find out what happens in Sunday's final episode.
