The kids from Jurassic Park are barely recognisable 25 years after the film’s release

James Dawson

They’ve done some seriously impressive things with their lives

Jurassic Park was released 25 years ago this year. Rightfully, given the anniversary, the film has been remembered by a huge statue of Jeff Goldblum being put up in the centre of London. In fact, it’s hard to think of a better way anybody could have recognised Speilberg’s achievements than that.

Over two decades on the film remains a classic. Some of the most tense scenes in the film involve the two youngsters – the character Lex, was played by then-14-year-old Ariana Richards, and her on-screen brother Tim, was played by then-10-year-old Joseph Mazello. The pair of them are now well into their 30s, which – even as somebody younger than them – is pretty weird to think about.

They’ve also both had pretty interesting lives since they appeared in the OG dinosaur film. Ariana, for instance, still acts, but she’s also an award winning painter. She creates contemporary impressionist art and you can check some of it out here.

She’s also still in touch with Jeff Goldblum…

Similarly, Joseph has also stayed in the acting business. He’s had an acting credits in the Social Network, will play Queen bassist John Deacon in the upcoming Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody and wrote and directed the 2016 film Undrafted.

Here’s him carrying a huge pepper grinder…

It’s often said that child stardom is a curse, but at least there two are proving that doesn’t have to be the case.
