Hollywood star Kevin Spacey has issued an apology statement after being accused of making a sexual advance toward a child actor.

Anthony Rapp, who is 46 now but 14 years of age at the time, said Spacey invited him to a party and seemed drunk when the alleged incident happened in New York in 1986. Rapp alleges that Spacey, then 26, invited him and a 17-year-old friend to a nightclub, and then to a party at the actor's apartment. As Rapp recounts in an interview with BuzzFeed: "He picked me up like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold. But I don’t, like, squirm away initially, because I’m like, ‘What’s going on?’ And then he lays down on top of me." "As I opened the door to leave, he was leaning on the front door[frame]. And he was like, ‘Are you sure you wanna go?’ I said, ‘Yes, good night,’ and then I did leave." Spacey has issued the follow statement following the allegation: https://twitter.com/KevinSpacey/status/924848412842971136?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theguardian.com%2Fus-news%2F2017%2Foct%2F30%2Fkevin-spacey-anthony-rapp-apologises-accused-sexual-advance-14-year-old-boy
