Katie Hopkins and LBC have "agreed" that the divisive broadcaster and commentator will leave the radio station "effective immediately".

The move comes after a tweet in which Hopkins called for a 'final solution' in relation to the Manchester Arena attack drew heated criticism and put pressure on her employer LBC, where she hosted a Sunday morning talk show. After facing widespread condemnation, Hopkins deleted the tweet, claiming that she meant to call for a "true" solution. Her original tweet had been reported to the police. https://twitter.com/LBC/status/868028943659524096 Hopkins is also a columnist for Mail Online, who were forced to pay £150,000 to a Muslim family whom Hopkins had incorrectly accused of extremist links. She was also made to pay £24,000 in damages and £107,000 in legal costs to writer Jack Monroe over defamatory remarks.
