Once again, I have left the JOE Pub Quiz introduction far too late.
What you have to understand is, writing this quiz takes absolutely ages.
I've done almost 100 of them now (JOE Pub Quiz historians will remember that I am not the father of the quiz; the quiz is my adopted son) - do you have any idea how long it takes to think of questions that I haven't done before? I'd estimate that one-eighth of my salary comes from writing a weekly quiz.
That doesn't leave a lot of time to come up with a snappy intro. So what tends to happen is I'll bollock on for a few paragraphs in the hope that you'll mistake it for a really brilliant piece of writing, equatable to the brilliance of the quiz itself.
How's that looking?
