Indiana Jones 5 and Star Wars: Episode IX have official release dates

Paul Moore

Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory.

Given that the Indiana Jones trilogy*  is absolutely perfect, we’re very excited to see what the next adventure of Henry Jones Jr. will involve.

As Indy famously said, “it’s not the years, it’s the mileage” but we’re still absolutely delighted to see that Harrison Ford will be dusting off the fedora yet again in search of even more fortune and glory.

On July 10, 2020, there’s going to be no time for love Dr. Jones because the world’s most beloved archaeologist will be returning to the big screen with Steven Spielberg directing.

With a plethora of new films being released, Disney also announced the premiere date for Star Wars: Episode IX.

In an official statement, the studio said: “The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm announced today two major upcoming release dates. Star Wars: Episode IX is now set for release on May 24, 2019. Directed by Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World), the film will close out the third Star Wars trilogy. In addition, the fifth chapter of the Indiana Jones series is now confirmed for a July 10, 2020 release. Both Steven Spielberg, director of every Indiana Jones film, and star Harrison Ford will return.

Here are some of the other titles that Disney have also announced.

Save the dates.

*Yep, it’s still a trilogy because Kingdom of the Crystal Skull NEVER happened, ok? IT NEVER HAPPENED. Christ, that scene with Shia LaBeouf , the monkeys and the swinging vines still haunts our dreams.
