Prime Video has quietly added one of 2024’s most talked about movies

The film would make perfect viewing ahead of Halloween.

In the film, the rising star plays Sister Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith who joins a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside.

Her warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare when she discovers that she is pregnant despite being a virgin.

While her convent's inhabitants begin to treat her as the next Virgin Mary, Cecilia suspects something incredibly sinister is afoot.

Released in Irish cinemas last March, Immaculate saw Sweeney re-teaming with director Michael Mohan after their excellent, underrated Prime Video thriller The Voyeurs.

And thanks to Sweeney's viscerally intense lead turn, the film's beautifully gloomy cinematography, its social commentary and its brilliantly berserk third act where the story reaches full fever pitch, the religious horror was a decent hit both with critics and audiences.
