Hidden Netflix features to get the most out of your subscription

Stranger things

Netflix just got considerably more interesting

Sometimes Netflix can become a chore and after what seems like hours of scrolling, you land on something you’ve watched 50 times over.

However Netflix has some unique features that can make your streaming experience more enjoyable. Let’s take a look…

Games

Stranger things

By opening your Netflix app and typing “games” into the search bar, you are faced with a series of games usually tied to one of the platform’s titles. While this feature is relatively new, there are already six unique games to pick from, including Stranger Things 3: The Game, Arcanium: Rise of Akhan, Asphalt Xtreme, Bowling Ballers, Card Blast and Dominoes Cafe.

Netflix party

Brazen

Binging shows or films with friends can be problematic in the time of covid – even when friends live a considerable distance away. However a handy Google Chrome extension allows you to watch Netflix with anyone, anywhere. Upon downloading the extension, you can generate a shareable link that allows friends to tune into your own broadcast. There’s no more chatting on FaceTime either, as the extension’s chat feature allows you to converse about the show or film.

Netflix Roulette

Witcher

As mentioned above, scrolling through Netflix is arguably the most frustrating streaming experience – beyond buffering, of course. However hitting the “random” button will automatically load a title you’ve never watched before.

While you can do this on the app itself, the online version allows you to filter by genre and IMDB rating to make sure the media is something you actually want to watch.

Secret codes

Netflix

It should come as no surprise that thousands of hidden codes collect the best of the best from “hidden categories.” Netflix regularly changes the codes, so be sure to check before choosing a code you haven’t used in a while.

For instance, typing in code “7018” will bring up political documentaries but if foreign comedies are more your speed, then try “4426” instead.

The possibilities are endless, so get hunting through this link.
