It’s more than two years since the last instalment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise was released, but it seems the next game in the series isn’t far away.
Work on GTA VI has reportedly begun, though significant details – including the location – are yet to come to light.
According to TechRadar, ‘preliminary work’ has begun on the upcoming game, but it won’t be set in Tokyo despite developer Rockstar Games visiting the Japanese capital to explore its potential.
Grand Theft Auto V is the only game in the series to see the light of day this decade, and no clues have yet been given regarding a release date for the upcoming instalment.
